“Four years ago, I got an email from Jason asking me if I was ready to come back to the gym (I worked out with him for a short stint a few summers prior). I had just finished my master’s degree, lost my dad, and was the heaviest and most sedentary that I’d ever been. I knew that it was now or never; I could either choose to continue on the path I was traveling, or I could commit one month to a gym membership and see where it took me. It took me a while to fully grasp and appreciate Champion Fitness and the idea that I was in full control of my body and my progress. But once I was able to push through the pain and discomfort of hard work-outs, I was able to fully appreciate that I am capable of just about anything I set my mind and body to.
Four years ago, I couldn’t do a burpee or a step-up, and I had never run a full mile in my life. Over the course of the last four years, I have morphed from a person who dreaded every single workout, to someone who craves workouts like I used to crave french fries. This summer I competed in my very first sprint triathalon and FINISHED!
Champion Fitness is more than just a gym and a trainer. It’s a second home, a family, and a constant reminder that I am physically, mentally, and emotionally STRONG!”
